It was a wet day for most of Mid and Southeast Michigan, with rain totals near 1 inch or slightly more in Oakland County.
Oakland County 911 is asking everyone to avoid flooded roads around the Pontiac and Waterford areas. As stated in their Local Storm Report: “COUNTY DISPATCH REPORTED STREET FLOODING IN NUMEROUS LOCATIONS OF THE PONTIAC TO WATERFORD AREA BETWEEN 6 PM AND 7 PM. TRAFFIC WAS DIVERTED IN A FEW LOCATIONS AND ONE MOTORIST STALLED THEIR VEHICLE IN A FLOODED UNDERPASS NEAR TELEGRAPH RD AND DIXIE HWY.”
As our thunderstorm chances continue tomorrow through Friday, drivers in that area need to be aware for flooding practically every day this week after thunderstorms pass over.
