
The Storm Prediction Center has placed all of Mid and Lower Michigan under a Marginal Risk of severe weather for this afternoon and evening/overnight. Large hail and damaging winds up to 60 mph will be the main threats.
Storms should start firing around 4pm this afternoon, lasting until 12am.
The latest Storm Prediction Center outlook noted at the possibility for organized multicells and/or marginal supercells.
Dewpoints around 60F to 70F, with CAPE values around 1500 J/kg will support these thunderstorms. Damaging outflow winds will be possible in addition to large hail 1 inch in diameter.
