This summer was quiet in terms of severe weather, however, a renewed chance of severe weather is possible this afternoon/evening, overnight, and tomorrow. As of now for today, the main threats appear to include large hail and maybe a damaging wind gust or two for Mid, South Western, North Western, and West Central Michigan. For your Wednesday, severe weather is possible from a Port Sanilac to Sturgis line in the afternoon. Large hail and again, a damaging wind gust or two is possible.
For both days, damaging winds are unlikely, with the reason being stability under the warm front as it filters in. However, the reason large hail is prominent, is that mid-level winds look sufficient to enhance any updrafts, which in turn would allow for hail formation.

Remember to stay weather-aware today and tomorrow. Hail reports can be submitted to the National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac, or the National Weather Service Grand Rapids.
